Hardwood Floor Refinishing in Huntersville, NC

We take scratched, pet-worn and faded hardwood in Huntersville homes back to bare wood and finish it to look new again.

In Huntersville and around Lake Norman we see a lot of 10 to 25 year old oak floors with pet scratches, sun fading near big windows and worn spots by the doors. Refinishing brings them back and is often worth doing before replacing anything. We work across 28078, Cornelius and Davidson.

Refinishing questions from Huntersville.

Will refinishing remove pet scratches?

Surface scratches and most finish scratches come out with sanding. Very deep gouges or pet stains that soaked into the wood may need board replacement first, which we can do.

How much does refinishing cost in Huntersville?

Sanding and refinishing starts at $3.49 per square foot. The final price depends on the size of the area, the condition of the wood, any repairs, and the stain and finish you choose.

Can my engineered floor be refinished?

It depends on the thickness of the top wood layer. We check it during the free estimate and tell you honestly if it can be sanded.

Do you work around Lake Norman?

Yes. Along with Huntersville we refinish floors in Cornelius, Davidson and the rest of the Lake Norman area.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with HD Flooring. They completed both my flooring installation and staircase remodel, and I’m very pleased with how everything turned out. The staircase transformation made a big difference in the overall look of my home, and the flooring looks great as well.

The crew was professional, respectful, and did quality work. There were a few scheduling and timing issues along the way, but the finished product was worth it. I appreciate the work HD Flooring put into the project and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality flooring or staircase remodeling.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hugo and his team transformed my home. They replaced carpeted areas with new hardwoods, and refinished the old orange floors; you cannot tell which is which. It's seamless and perfect. (See third photo - the closest wood is 20+ years old, the family room is new wood. Amazing.) They also replaced the stairway railings, newel posts and spindles. It is beautiful - better than I could have imagined. He communicated with us well, they kept everything clean, his team was friendly and skilled. I cannot imagine a better experience. Highly recommend!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hugo and his team sanded and refinished with new stain 28+ year old hardwoods, also put new hardwoods replacing carpet in the family room to match.
Replace old vinyl flooring in laundry room with LVP planks, so much better.
Installation was very professional; they worked around our work schedule and kept us informed every step of the way.
When floors were finished, we had a small concern Hugo came the same day and fixed it.
Very satisfied with the whole project, look forward to our next project.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hugo is great. From the first time I meet him. He is very professional. He resurfaced our hardwood and added two additional room with hardwood. It turned out great. You can’t tell what was old and what is new. He just came back today (months later) and did a repair that we screwed up. He came within a few days of calling him. I wish all contractors were this good. I definitely would recommend his services!
