Hardwood Floor Refinishing in Matthews, NC

Can you refinish my floor and new hardwood at the same time?

Yes, and it is the best way to get an even color. We install the new boards first, then sand and finish old and new together.

Do we have to leave the house?

Not always. Many Matthews families stay home and avoid the rooms being finished. With oil-based finish, some prefer a few nights away while it cures. We tell you which rooms are off-limits and for how long.

How long does it take?

Most homes take three to five days from sanding to the last coat, plus cure time before furniture goes back.

They replaced carpeted areas with new hardwoods, and refinished the old orange floors; you cannot tell which is which.  It's seamless and perfect.  (See third photo - the closest wood is 20+ years old, the family room is new wood. Amazing.)  They also replaced the stairway railings, newel posts and spindles.  It is beautiful - better than I could have imagined.  He communicated with us well, they kept everything clean, his team was friendly and skilled. I cannot imagine a better experience. Replace old vinyl flooring in laundry room with LVP planks, so much better.
Installation was very professional; they worked around our work schedule and kept us informed every step of the way.
When floors were finished, we had a small concern Hugo came the same day and fixed it.

He resurfaced our hardwood and added two additional room with hardwood. It turned out great. You can’t tell what was old and what is new. He just came back today (months later) and did a repair that we screwed up. He came within a few days of calling him. I wish all contractors were this good.
